MAINWARE (MW) was created as a spin-off company of our parent company JHV GROUP, which is one of the largest system integrators in the Czech Republic. JHV supplies production systems to various sectors, especially the automotive, pharmaceutical and food industries.

The original idea was to create a platform that would serve to produce machines (assembly lines) more efficiently and deliver an intelligent application with each production line supplied by JHV. The know-how acquired by the system integrator (JHV) during the development, production and commissioning of the assembly line is passed on to the customer of the assembly line.

This solution would complement standard technical documentation (PDFs, paper documentation—usually hundreds of pages) with 3D documentation, interactive operating manuals (both for operation and maintenance), AR functionality, but also about condition monitoring (either for OEE monitoring or for monitoring physical parameters such as temperatures, vibrations, etc.) and as a tool for communication between the JHV and the customer.

That is why the MW solution was created and after some time MAINWARE was founded as an independent company so that we could offer the platform to other companies as well.

We create MAINWARE as a system from engineers to engineers. This means that we are proud to have automation engineers, CAD designers, PLC programmers, mechatronics technicians, assemblers, project managers, mechanical and electrical engineers as valuable in-house consultants. Our consulting base, with which we work daily in the same building, numbers 160 people. In addition, we use the knowledge of JHV Praha from more than 80 other engineers.

Since the establishment of MW, we have implemented MW in a number of JHV production lines, for example in Continental, Honeywell, Skoda Auto, Siemens and many others. In the meantime, we are working with OEMs to leverage MW for their customers' solutions, but also as a tool to manage service activities.

MW is a web-based cloud application that is complemented by an iPadOS application used for augmented reality (AR).

JHV's original motivation was for MAINWARE to save JHV's parent company's cost of manufacturing the machines.

After the POC was successfully adopted by the investor, the development was focused on the end users of the machines (JHV customers) to verify the technology and its use in different production conditions. Such hands-on testing was a source of product feature requirements, and close collaboration was established between end-users and the Mainware development team. Mainware conducted feature voting polls, customer satisfaction surveys, and customized the product accordingly.

After verification with end users, development for the investor, a system integrator (JHV), was started. The system integrator is the main target customer. It manufactures machines for its end users. More about customers and distribution strategy in the relevant section of this document.
